Greasing of your Chimney cowl, driveway gate wheels and security gate hinges will also then indicate if its compromised. 

Interior maintenance tasks: > Clean water filters on shower heads, sink taps & basin taps. Monitor potential wet areas under the sink, look for damp  on internal walls especially around the shower and bath area.   Lose tile inside also indicate unwanted moisture. Condensation build up around the upper area of windows in winter.
